Just Lost Your Animation Job? In fact, most individuals will work anywhere from five to ten different jobs over their lifetime. Instead of wasting time worrying and feeling sorry for yourself, take steps to promote your animation career and get yourself into an animation job you really love.Before leaving your current animation job, gather samples of your best work and add them to your portfolio or reel. Recent work will be an important way to display your talents when speaking with potential employers. If possible, you should obtain a letter of recommendation from your current employer indicating your position, job duties, and accomplishments. Prepare Yourself First, Job Hunt SecondWhile it may seem important to land a new animation job right away, it is even more critical to decide what type of animation job or career interests you most. Even if you really enjoyed your previous animation job, think about other interests or job duties you would like to add or change? Start by asking yourself a few simple questions:

In fact, getting laid off might give you the chance you may otherwise not have to make bold changes in your animation career or possible give you the time to go to an animation school to further enhance your animation skills.
